Terms & Conditions

TJS Typing Services reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions without notice.

TJS Typing Services reserves the right to amend prices & tariffs without notice, unless they have already been agreed with the "Client" for previously scheduled work.

Estimates are provided on request as per the prices & tariffs shown on this website.  However invoices will show exact word count or the number of hours and minutes spent on each project and the exact charges payable, including postage etc.

If the "Client" wishes to post any documentation then TJS Typing Services will not be held responsible for any documents until they reach their destination.  TJS Typing Services advises the "Client" to send documents either by recorded or special delivery to ensure safe delivery.  A confirmation email, text or phone call will be made once work has been received.

TJS Typing Services will not accept any illegal, obscene or distasteful documentation.

Once the "Client's" order has been received either by telephone or email, TJS Typing Services will advise them, if and when the work can be completed, within the "Client's" requested timescale.  If the work can be completed on time, then a Typing Request Booking Form will be sent to the "Client" either by post or email.  This will require the "Client" to tick the Terms and Conditions box as their acceptance of them, authorise their agreement for the work to go ahead, and also that they will settle their invoices within 7 days.   The Typing Request Booking Form will also give details of my home office address to send the work or documents to.

Unless otherwise requested, all documents will be produced to TJS Typing Services own professional layout and text style.

Any notes/hand written documents received through the postal system will be posted back to the "Client" unless specifically asked not to do so or an alternate method of return is suggested.

If the "Client" wishes their documents to be collected/delivered (small businesses only, within 5 miles) then a collection/delivery charge of 45p per mile will be incurred and added to the invoice.  This charge will also include 45p per mile for the return journey.

Typed up documents can be returned to the "Client" as "zipped files" by email, by post or hand collected (by prior arrangement only).

If documents do not need to be returned to the "Client", these will be shredded and this should be indicated on the Typing Request Booking Form prior to being submitted.   If the "Client" requires any hand written documents to be returned by post, then postage charges will be added to the invoice accordingly.

Final proof reading of all the work typed by TJS Typing Services is the responsibility of the "Client".  Any mistakes, amendments or re-formatting found by the "Client" after completion of the work, will be amended free of charge.  TJS Typing Services must be notified within 48 hours of "Client's" receipt. 

Any additional work which the "Client" requires to be inserted into their already completed documents, will still incur a charge.

Invoices will be submitted once work is completed either via PayPal Invoicing, or through the normal email system (if the "Client" has an email address), or by post with the typed up documents  All invoices are required to be paid in full within 7 days.

Payment can be made by:  Bank transfer, credit or debit card via PayPal.  TJS Typing Services will send the "Client" an Invoice via PayPal.  The "Client" doesn't require a PayPal account, just an email address.  Cash can be paid on delivery (small businesses, only if within 5 miles).  Sorry "No Cheques" will be accepted.

With regards to late payment of invoices, a fee of £10 will be charged for every week thereafter that the invoice remains outstanding.

Any work that needs to be printed will be charged at 15p per Black and White page or 20p per Colour page to cover any material costs.  Large documents will be printed double sided, unless otherwise requested.  High quality paper White 100 gsm will always be used.

All work received will be treated as highly confidential.  Once work has been completed it will be saved and will be kept on file or computer for 4 weeks.  After this time the work will be erased or shredded.  It is the "Client's" responsibility to notify TJS Typing Services if any work is to be kept and returned within the 4 week timescale.


Privacy Policy

All data supplied by the "Client" will be managed appropriately and TJS Typing Services agree to only collect and store this information in line with the Data Protection Act, 1998 and their Terms & Conditions.

Information is collected from the "Client" when an initial enquiry is made.  The Information collected includes: Client/Company name, Address, Email Address details and Phone numbers

Any personal data will not be shared with anyone, unless permission is granted by the "Client".

Every effort will be made to keep all personal information, which is stored, up-to-date.  Amendments to incorrect information will be made as soon as possible to ensure accuracy.

Disclaimer

Within a 48 hour time period from the "Client" receiving their completed work, TJS Typing Services will amend or re-format any mistakes. Once the "Client" has received their completed work and a 48 hour time period has elapsed, TJS Typing Services will not accept any responsibility for the final presentation and accuracy of the work, as this then remains with the "Client".

If TJS Typing Services is required to post back any work to the "Client" at their request, any postage costs will be borne by the "Client" and will be added to the invoice, this will predominantly be First Class, unless Second Class or Recorded Delivery is requested.
